Pat MacNeill, Assistant Superintendent of Greene County Schools, discusses how tech improves communication throughout the district

Pat MacNeill explains how her district uses educational technology to reach 21st century learners. As Assistant Superintendent of Green County Schools, keeping in touch with teachers and administrators is a top priority.

She details how stakeholders stay in touch and reach each and every student via daily communication and meeting students where they are– online.

Green County Schools have a 1:1 computer initiative, which means every student has access to a laptop while at school every day.  Such initiatives provide students with opportunities and skills they may otherwise not benefit from to prepare them for college and careers.  As MacNeill says, “our students are 21st century learners being taught by 21stcentury professionals and we are seeing success with that.”

Greene Cty is really on the move. You should have seen the shape this district was in 10 years ago. The community leadership has always met the district leadership in supportive alliance. That’s the key.
